Portrait Photography: His Cup Runneth Over

I met this guy last April at Souly Business Retreat when he picked me out of the crowd, and wanted to hang out with me our first night there. So there I was, talking to this new friend for hours into the night about a difficult decision I faced. Out of everyone at the retreat, he chose to pour himself into *me* that night. His insight was profound and at some point in the conversation I felt as if it was no longer him speaking to me, but God speaking to me through him. Since then he has been a great friend to me.

Everybody. Meet Jason Montoya. He is a husband and father of three. He has amazing perspective and insight on various life issues rooted in his strong Christian faith. He loves to teach and inspire others to live with intent.

Jason is passionate about helping others and sharing his knowledge – he pours his life into others – and that is the concept of this portrait. I wanted to create a visual representation of who he is as a person: The popular Bible verse that ends with, “my cup runneth over.” was the first thing that came to mind. We both considered other ideas, but this visual just kept coming back to me. I had a clear vision for it in my mind, and this finished portrait of him is it.

His Cup Runneth Over.
