Talk To The Bible! :: Photo Of The Day 06.24.15 :: Street Photography

TalkToTheBible_Web

I jokingly say, “Talk To The Bible!” because it was as if this street corner preacher was saying “Talk To The Hand!” to me – just like any other close-minded person would when I took this. Last month I was on assignment having to shoot in downtown Atlanta when I happened upon this gentleman who was preaching / talking down to Atlanta Hawks fans as they were heading into Phillips Arena for a game. I decided that since he was forcing his fundamental Christian viewpoints on me and everybody else that was passing by that I may as well force my camera on him. So, I started photographing him as if he was a big star. That’s when he decided to put his Bible between my camera and his face, hiding from me. Funny how he seemed to be preaching with such conviction, but seemed ashamed for me to document it. I’ll share with you all some of his religious insight tomorrow along with a photo where you can see him. This guy was something else.
