“My initials are BS!” is what this guy said in a jovial way right after he told me his name: Brent Stewart.

He walked out just as his wife, Tina, was bragging on him, telling me what a great husband he had been to her. She told me he lived in “bunny land” and didn’t let anything rattle him.

I decided as soon as he said “my initials are BS” that I had better get his advice on life, too. So, I asked him what advice he had for the viewers of the portrait I’d not yet taken of him, and without missing a beat he said:

“Patience is the key to life, and always try to act off logic and not emotion.”

I don’t think any single bit of advice could have matched up better with what Tina had just been telling me about him.

Just seconds after that I got some great shots of them together, he took me into his shop to show me his hot rod truck he had restored. Everywhere you looked in there, there was something cool to look at. So, I had to get a portrait of him amongst it all. This is how it turned out. He’s obviously a UGA fan, and his late brother was a big Alabama fan, thus being why you see the University of Alabama flag in there, too.

Below are the shots I got of him and Tina together  The great thing about those is that they’re totally candid. I didn’t tell them to do anything that you’re seeing in them, and to me, you can feel the love between the two of them as you look at them.
