The weekend before last I was running a video camera for a company contracted by the producers of TomorrowWorld. I spent much of my break time shooting photos with my iPhone since there seemed to be an interesting shot to be captured – pretty much everywhere you looked. This is what I’ve processed and posted along with the captions I wrote for each of them as I posted them. I started out posting in color and then switched over to all black and white. As you can see from the shots, it was a very interesting crowd. It was hard work, but a blast at the same time.

Grandma Gettin’ Down! :: I’m running a video camera at ‪Tommorworld‬ Music Fest this weekend, and this lady in the front row caught my attention.

Day three of videoing characters like this, as well as the DJ’s performing for them has begun – minus about 140,000 people at ‪TomorrowWorld‬. Mother Nature must have gotten word that the party was getting a little crazy, so, she rained on their parade – literally. So, supposedly only the 40,000 people that was camping on the fest grounds are in attendance today. They’re not letting the other 140,000 in attendance this weekend in if they stayed off site due to the parking lots looking as every one of those 140,000 people got to experience what mug bogging is like for the first time. At least the rain has stopped. The music that all sounds the same to me hasn’t yet, though…

On the main stage at ‪TomorrowWorld‬ there were occasionally a team of steampunk theater / circus performers that’d come out and do stuff that was pretty weird to watch, and I would think that they would be downright entertaining if you were – how should I say – in the right state of mind. Yes. There seemed to be plenty of people in the right state of mind to enjoy the performance of these steampunk characters.

Love and music were the only drugs I saw that were worth taking at ‪‎TomorrowWorld‬.

 

Light

This past weekend I was running a video camera for ‪‎TomorrowWorld‬ for their production team, and this was one of my favorite shots to capture when I was in position to do so with the light like this. The only difference is that I was zooming in and pulling the image in and out of focus so it’d just be people’s backlit hands blurring in and out while they were moving. The director seemed to appreciate the shot too. It’s great working with directors who encourage you to experiment and play as they did.
