“Glasses?!?!? Highlights?!?!?!? We don’t need no stinkin’ glasses and highlights!” -Julia’s Personality

Yesterday I posted a more serious shot of Julia because I believe it allows the viewer to focus more on her new glasses and hair highlights, and mentioned about how I had captured a few others just seconds after that where her personality stole the show. So, without further ado…

Ladies and Gentlemen. This. Is my wife.

She can be exceedingly difficult for me to capture well in camera. She’s not photogenic. At all. Then on top of that, trying to get her to stay still for a photo and follow directions is – oh – I don’t know – kind of like trying to bathe a cat. Thus being why I feel it’s much easier to capture – her – through video rather than a single photo.

When I captured the shot I posted of her yesterday, I knew I had what I was going for. But when I sternly told her to not move a bit. Well. That was just too much to ask of her and the ants that are perpetually in her pants.

So, these three frames that were taken in quick succession are how she responded to me urging her to hold still and not move an inch.

Yeah.

As you can see, particularly from the center shot, she’s not one to take herself or life too seriously. Or me for that matter.

Yep. I definitely love her.

As I type this, she and two of her best friends are on a flight returning from their 2017 Girl Fest – which – this year – was to Paris and Barcelona for a week. Their plane is going to be landing here in Atlanta at 2:41, so Lil’ Walter Whitman and I eager to see her again. She’s been missed.
