This sweet soul turned 97 years old yesterday. 97 years old and her mind is still sharp enough that she can sing along in church to every song in the hymnal without having to look at it. She also still lives in her own house, by herself. She gets much respect from everybody that knows her. She’s like a grandmother to me, and I took this last Thanksgiving while waiting to take a portrait of her son, who just so happens to be my uncle. I got some really good shots of him, too. I’ll show them sometime soon…
