Atlanta Travel Photographer: The New Normal

The sun setting on the Caribbean Sea somewhere off the cost of Haiti as Julia and I were headed towards Jamaica on Royal Caribbean’s Independence of The Seas.  We got back from a great trip / honeymoon last night in which we both completely disconnected from the outside world while gone – not even checking our email.

It was kind of awesome, until I got back and realized I may have missed out on some work due to a client not getting the out-of-office auto response email I had set up. So yeah, if you’ve ever felt envious of the self-employed due to them seemingly being able to work – or not work – whenever they want…

Nope. We have to work – or need to work – even when trying to focus on something as important as your new wife – who is awesome. It never stops.

So, today marks the beginning of my transition into my new normal: Staying on top of career / work stuff – which can be very demanding – while also figuring out how to still put my spouse first. That, and waking up at 4:45 am along with her to see her off to work, and get my workday started as well. Now, I’m going to make more coffee, and get back to catching up with emails.

I’ve got many more shots from the honeymoon to edit through, process, and share. So, be on the lookout for some of them in the near future.
