Standing On Top Of The World — As A Portrait Photographer

Today I did portraits of the CEO and founder of local company — a new client. One of his employee’s found my work online and seemed to not just want any photographer, but me specifically, to do the work for them. That is an honor in itself. But, the CEO is actually an author too, and this is how he signed his book for me. Sometimes I hate what I do, and question whether I should be doing something else with my life. And then there are the times when I get this kind of response from clients and just have things fall into place for me while shooting. He was an interesting and super laid back guy — sharp as tack too. Both my assistant, Arna Saint, and make-up artist, Jacquelyn Taylor, did a great job. Everything just worked, and as a result, I got some great shots that the client loved. So, days like this make it hard to imagine doing anything BUT photography. I’m so lucky to have people pay me to do something that I’m obsessed with doing anyway. Now, I’m going to go hang out by the pool for while, and then it’s back to work for me.
